Delegates! We are well into this year, so open a new book today, forget all your worries and thank God that you made it into this new year of 2018. A new year has come with new expectations, new opportunities, new challenges and a whole new way of delighting people related with you. Have a happy life ahead! Charles Dickens, the social critic said once, “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.” Our nation and our world is experiencing so much societal unrest. The natural disasters and recovery efforts in the gulf coast region and southeast, and then the government’s antics displayed all in the name of making America great again. However, as Baptist Women of South Carolina through amid, chaos and crisis, we still have a spiritually charged biblical mandate… To hope, to help, and to heal! We must rally and stand together and have the audacity to make these the best of times. We have the power of the Holy Spirit… The same Charles Dickens further said, “Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts.”
